Clean

This week-end, I watched Clean. Certainly my experience is greatly biased by the company I was with, but I enjoyed this movie very much. The lead roles are very well served (you can feel it in comparison when other roles overplay). The beginning was a bit scary to me, but the real issue was the time it took for me to deaccomodate from my expectations regarding movies as delivering high-concentration doses of black magic. Indeed, and what makes it only more enjoyable, this movie was mostly free from black magic: no special effects, no phony characters, no supernatural storyline, no artificial beautification, but live people trying to make do in a real world. It's a very white magic story about someone who's been deep down in self-destruction and slowly learns to rebuild her life. And that talks to me.
