Here are a few haikus for my plane trip back to Europe.


Voici quelques haïkus pour mon vol de retour vers l'Europe.

I can confirm that
japanese men are tiny
seen from one mile high

The contemplation
Japan, of your great mountains
From my small window

Seated by window
Corridor's where I last see
Beauty from Japan

I offered that last haiku in my best writing to Saito, air hostess from JAL, who incarnates japanese beauty. But I failed to ask her out -- still too AFCish.


Je peux confirmer,
les Japonais: des fourmis
(vus de dix mille pieds)

Jouir de contempler
Japon, tes grandes montagnes
par mon p'tit hublot

Sis à ma fenêtre,
Japon, ta beauté ultime
est côté couloir

Mes retrouvailles avec Paris m'ont vite inspiré ce nouvel haïku:

Musiciens, mendiants,
Ordures et graffiti
Paris, ton métro!

Et tandis que je somnolais du fait du décalage horaire, en attendant de voir Kill Bill, vol. I avec mon ami Jabial, celui-ci m'offrit:

L'oiseau sur la branche,
A vu mourir le soleil
Mon ami s'endort

Soupir. Souvenirs. / Dormir. Oublier. Diner. / Et la vie reprend.
